Status: Town crews and contractor onsite to repair the watermain break at William St. and Highway 12.

Affected Water Service to: East end of Midland – quadrant between Yonge and 12 and William and King

Expected Return to Service: Noticeable water pressure expected within the next one to two hours.

Boil Water Advisory Issued for East Pressure Zone of Midland (Lifted on August 27, 2024)

Update as of Tuesday, August 27, 2024 5:30pm

The Boil Water Advisory issued for the East Pressure Zone of Midland on August 26, 2024, has been lifted today (August 27, 2024) by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit. Laboratory test results have confirmed that the water is free from contamination and is safe to drink. Any facilities that were closed as a result of the advisory can now reopen after taking the necessary precautions.

Where: Middle turning lane on Yonge Street, between Fourth Street and First Street.

When: 7:00 a.m. on Monday, August 26, 2024 to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2024

Why: Contractor to complete sanitary relining.
